Am I the only one who thinks January is a slow, long month? We’re recovering from the holidays and making sure this month’s budgeting doesn’t go over and reaches its final stretch until payday. On top of this, there was an unwelcoming bug that’s been doing the rounds. My body has just about recovered and was paranoid that it could be C word (it shall not be named).
I entered and started 2024 with a very relaxed and positive mindet, something I haven’t felt in the longest time. There’s something magical about Christmas break but I can’t put my finger on what exactly. Whatever it is, I only wish this indescrible feeling stays so I can continue to manifest in it.
Random Musings
- Finally trialled F45 for 2 weeks after saying I’d try it for the past 6 months. I was contemplating my life choices before, during and after each class, yet I’ve been going back and am purchasing a membership to continue to contemplate. Classes are tough yet rewarding.
- Got the green light to finally book tickets to Japan after months of discussion and planning had started long ago. Counting down the days starts now – a little over 9 months to go!
- Had forgotten how simple one pot rice cooker meals really are – underappreciated.
- PowerWash Simulator is therapeutic.
- Learned to play shuffleboard and my competitive side was unleashed. I lost in the final set but not bad for a beginner.
- Being a kid again playing the arcade games.
- Booked tickets to see the Art of Brick exhibition. Lego sculptures, I’m coming for you!
- Saw Dragonite in Selfridges only to realise they’re collaborating with Fendi for Lunar New Year. I’m not big on designer but the Dratini and Dragonair earrings are to die for. Not for those prices though.
