This is actually the very first NARS product I have ever owned. They’ve already released a duo in their normal size (10.5g) however when I had seen a travel-sized version in Sephora, it went straight into my basket. This was a good opportunity for me to try out both of the famous shades, Orgasm and Laguna, without having to splurge on them individually or buy the normal size duo. So where do I even start?
The Orgasm blush looked absolutely stunning when my skin was tanned. It gave me a beautiful, healthy flush and glow to my cheeks. I prefer using this when I’m tanned rather than pale. It looks beautiful on pale skin too. The warm, peachy, pink shade with golden shimmer is a match made in heaven for any tanned skin. I love the amount of shimmer it has to give me that glow when the light hits the apples of my cheeks. It’s not overpowering however others may find it a bit too much though. Applying with a light hand is necessary and you are also able to build the colour up to your desired look. It’s smooth to apply and easy to blend out and lasts the whole day for me. For darker complexions, you may find it hard to get the colour to appear but you might be able to use it for a subtle glow instead.
Now onto Laguna. This warm shade is great for light to medium skin tone, helping you build up that nice, natural, sun-kissed, tanned glow without looking muddy or orange. It might be a tad dark for fairer skin however if you use a light hand, it will work wonders illuminating the skin. For darker skin tones, you can pop it on as a highlight. There is a subtle shimmer but it gives off a sheen rather than a typical shimmer look, therefore, it’s not a matte finish. It’s great to use for a subtle contour however for those who are pale/fair and have cool undertones, this wouldn’t be good as a contour for you guys. Finely milled, easy to apply and blend out, what more could you ask for? I can see why it’s a cult favourite. It is a good bronzer however I’ve used better.
I would repurchase Orgasm as a full-sized individual but skip Laguna. With this being travel-sized, I would throw this in my travel bag and use it for both day and night looks. This isn’t hands-on available in the UK however if you’re in a country that has a Sephora, you’re in luck! You can also purchase it from the Sephora website too.
Have you tried either of these shades?
