Right now, I’m travelling and exploring East China and have only brought five lipsticks with me. I remember going through my whole lipstick collection whilst packing and wanted to bring at least 10 with me. A lipstick for every occasion I could have thought of at that time. In the end, I had forced myself to take it down a notch and reduced it down to five.
With the whole, oh it’s winter, the dark lip is in (as always), I had to pack the Wet n Wild Mega Last Lip Color in Cherry Bomb. Prior to this trip, I’ve never actually used it. As I didn’t bring any vampy lippies with me to China, I was on the hunt for the perfect vampy red that didn’t contain any purple tones, and this had fit the bill. Taobao, you are my saviour. I will have to do a full review of this.
Now for the other four lipsticks, you can say they are all different types of “nude” shades and they are my most worn in general. Illamasqua Glamore Lipstick in Minx, a dark, rose nude; NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Soft Spoken, a mauve nude; NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Rome, a medium nude with red undertone; MAC Velvet Teddy, a deep tone beige. I think I’ve covered all bases when it comes to nudes and you can never have too many right? The more the merrier!
Even if I start the day by wearing one colour, I still carry all five around with me, in case I fancy a change during the day. This hasn’t happened (yet) but there still is that possibility it may happen. I’ve got to be prepared for any given situation.
Do you tend to carry a lot of lipsticks when you travel?
