What’s In My Suitcase: Marrakesh

H&M t-shirt; Dorothy Perkins maxi skirt; Lavender Moon necklace; Forever 21 boxy crop; Missguided cigarette trousers; H&M arm cuff; Primark blouse; Blue Vanilla trousers*; White lace up sandals; H&M crossbody bag; Ray Ban aviators; Valentino Rockstud sunglasses;

I’m off to Marrakesh tomorrow and will be back in the UK next Monday. It will be a lovely bank holiday weekend in the sun. As I’m packing very lightly, I thought I would share what I’m taking with me. The quality of these photos aren’t that great as it was taken in the evening whilst I was packing.

As Marrakesh is in Morocco, it’s a Muslim county. I’m packing clothes that will cover my legs and shoulders as a sign of respect even if there may be a heatwave according to Accuweather. I also don’t want to get sunburnt so covering up as much as I can be best for me as well as lots and lots of suncream which I need to buy at the airport after security.

Packing as light as I could be a challenge. The images don’t include everyday items such as towel, underwear, socks, pyjamas, chargers etc. I thought I’d keep it more interesting! I’ve decided to go back to the very basics with makeup: concealer, eyeliner, eyebrow pen and oil blotting paper. I also need to purchase makeup wipes. I think I’ve packed everything I need? I’m paranoid I’ve forgotten something.

Now I can’t wait to jet off.

Is packing light a challenge for you?

    Your selection is actually adequate already for that weekend. I do suggest packing a scarf or two if you get to visit a mosque and required to cover your face.

    Packing light is a huge challenge for me. I tend to bring my whole house when I do, I'm not travel friendly I guess. That's why I opt to stay home instead, where all my stuff are haha. Have fun in Morocco!

    I thank God I'm male. haha I don't have to worry about make up. Or any cosmetic material. Ahahaha I only bring with me my gadgets, toothbrush and and clothes. The rest. I buy in retail (sachet) in the place where I am going. I am not so much particular with the brand. So anything will do. That way I can travel very very lightly. Just as I did today. Haha a half full backpack will do for a 3-day escapade.hahaha

    I am not too sure I will ever go to Marrakesh. My wife does not seem to like desert -like places. I do hope we also get the chance to go there though.
