Moooh Stripes

Top: Moooh*; Trousers: Zara; Necklace: Miss Selfridge;

Stripes are definitely an essential in anyone’s wardrobe. This shirt is the first stripped item I own. Even my little sister has a few in hers. I have opted for the vertical stripes rather than horizontal to prevent emphasis on my broad structure. This shirt is from Moooh, style from all over the world with an Italian twist.

This was actually shipped from Hong Kong. When you think of items shipped from there or China, a long wait comes to mind as well as low quality item but this wasn’t the case. I can’t remember exactly how long I had waited but it was less than a week. I am definitely more surprised about the quality. Shirts from China tends to be very sheer and of cheap quality but this feels like it’s from the UK high streets.

My only gripe with this is the sizing. I did read the size chart carefully and had chose the size based on my chest measurement but this shirt came off a tad small. It fits fine except for the chest area. To make this work, the above photo shows how I have styled it, which I did wear for a casual night out recently. Have had lovely compliments on the shirt. I am also wearing a bralet too but it’s not noticeable in the photo. If I went a size up, it would have fit perfectly.

Despite this, it doesn’t stop me from shopping there as there are some cute clothing and homeware. Definitely check out Moooh.net. Already eyeing up some more items there.

Are stripes your thing?

    I think it looks like a good fit, I love the shirt too, will check out their site? Do you have to pay tax when it arrives in the UK? Lightinthebox has done that to me before.

    Stripes are not my go-to print but I have to say I really do like them. I have a blazer a pair of jeans with a monochrome stripe print and I love them!

    Vertical stripes not always easy to pull off. If you are thin, you will look even thinner! Good to elongate you if you are overweight.

    I'm not big on stripes unless they are very thin and horizontal stripes. That said, the shirt looks great on you.

    Even men have stripes. I have several stripe polo and long sleeves on my wardrobe. Yeah, perhaps I'd agree it's essential. ๐Ÿ˜€
