Moroccanoil Treatment Light: £13.45

TAILORED FOR FINE HAIR

My ends are a bit dry from all of the bleaching and dying last year, from brown to blonde, back to brown then back to blonde then to plum red in February this year. After hearing all the fuss about this product, I wanted to try it but couldn’t allow myself to spend £30+ on a product which may or may not work for me. After doing a bit more research, Moroccanoil has the normal version and this light version. This light version is best suited for fine, thin hair girls who doesn’t want a product weighing the hair down like myself.

A year later after all the praise, I had purchased the smaller size which is great for travel and trialling the product. This is a lot smaller than I had expected for the price. Such a shame I cannot return the used product. Heavily disappointed as it didn’t meet my expectations. I have applied it onto the bottom half of my damp hair before blowdrying. It didn’t leave my hair feeling smooth or soft but it did give a little bit of shine. It made my hands feel more smooth than my hair. I’ve tried using a small amount of product as well as more, yet the results are still disappointing.

On a positive note, this doesn’t weigh my hair down and it is absorbed into the hair quickly without feeling greasy. I don’t suffer from frizz therefore I am unable to comment on it. I like the smell but it is hard to put my finger on it. Sweet nuts maybe? Quite an expensive product. Do look for a sample first before investing in this or the original version. I can see this bottle last a good while however it is a shame that it didn’t work and unfortunately, I will not be repurchasing it.

Have you tried any Moroccanoil products?

I never tried any of their products since they are quite expensive and I can't find them in stores here. I have dry ends (I'm currently using a cream from TRESemmé which is working nicely for me) but this doesn't look for me.

Thank you very much for your review. Please take care, have a nice day!*

That's one expensive product and sorry to hear that it's not working as expected. I've never tried anything from the brand but currently using Confume Argan Oil from Wishtrend, which is definitely a favorite of mine. My hair is very thick and it gets a bit oily quicker so before I tried to avoid anything that will make it worst, but the one I'm using now, it doesn't do that so I'm sticking with it. Hope you'll find the perfect product for your hair, too! xx Donah GiG

I wouldn't dare to buy this expensive product because my hair is already oily.. I have tried using argan oil (for my split ends after hearing lots of praises too) but even a tiny amount of it on the ends makes my hair greasy..!

I like to use hair oils and Moroccan Oil is next on my list of things to try. I was going to dry this light version, but now I'm not so sure and may stick to the original instead. Xx

I'd heard a lot about Moroccan Oil but I never believed that any oil in the world can have that much benefits until I tried it myself from Wish Trend, the Confume Argan Treatment Oil and I'm completely hooked <3 Best oil for hair (non-greasy and smells heavenly), Best moisturizer for face and body (non-greasy)!!! Since then no looking back <3

i would recommend you L'oreal professionnel mythic oil, it works wonders (not weighting down my hair too!) and I never turn back since then! Recommended to few friends and they love it too. As my hair is short, 1 drop is more than enough! so a little goes a really really long way!

p/s: i did reviews for all the ranges before in my blog – read it if you are interested
