This palette had a good concept in incorporating many basic powder products in one palette, best suited for travelling. It contains 6 eyeshadows, 2 blushes, 1 contour and 1 highlighter shade. This palette is great for makeup novices who doesn’t want to spend a lot individual products and want to experiement with colour, looks and learn new or improve make up techniques. I love how the eyeshadows are a marble effect. This idea isn’t new but it is pretty to look at. Even I had found it hard to swatch as I didn’t want to ruin it.
The first 5 eyeshadows are shimmer whereas the last one is matte. I do love their eyeshadow palettes in general. They are soft, pigmented and long lasting. Can’t put a fault to that. They’re easy to apply and blend. The second eyeshadow can also be used as a highlighter too if you prefer.
This is the first time I’ve tried their blushes etc. The left blush is a coral pink with golden shimmer. Reminds me of the Nars Orgasm, Sleek Rose Gold and the Shiseido Majolica Majorca Cheek Customise Blush in RD255. The right blush is a warm, neutral pink which is matte. A light bronze shade is also included in this palette. It’s better for light to medium skin tones to contour and can be used to warm up the face without making you look orange. The highlighter is of a pink undertone, I’d say a champagne colour. With these 4 products, you need a light hand as it is pigmented. The blushes and bronzer are powdery and can be chalky if applied too much and isn’t as blendable as the eyeshadows. So beware. The bottom four pans may not be to everyone’s taste as it small in the palette and can be hard to get product if you’re using a big brush.
To be honest, you can’t complain about this being £6. The packaging is not too bad. These palettes will last you ages and is definitely worth it. In all honesty, this wouldn’t be the palette I’d choose to take with me while I’m travelling. Guess it’s the eyeshadow colour choice. I prefer my neutral colours. I can see myself using the second and 2 last eyeshadows in my routine.
