Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palettes in Uptown Girl and The Golden Goddess: £39.00 each

DESK TO DUSK TO DISCO

Not sure why it took me so long to try these. Charlotte Tilbury has made sure that all four shades in the palette harmonise well with one another and suit every skin tone. That’s what I love about Charlotte Tilbury’s products. Uptown Girl has champagne, oyster and smoky grey hues whilst The Golden Goddess has your beach bronze, taupe, golden hues. Neither of the two palettes contains any matte shades, they’re all shimmer. If shimmers aren’t your thing, swatch them at the counter and you may be persuaded.

Every colour in each palette has it’s own purpose:
Prime (upper left)
Enhance (upper right)
Smoke (lower right)
Pop (lower left)
There is a guide on the back of the packaging on how to use each of them if you’re stuck or new, but of course, you’re free to use them however you like. CT states these palettes are a desk to dawn to disco and I can vouch for that. With The Golden Goddess palette, I did go natural during the day then added a smokey look after work, ready to hit the town.

The formula of the eyeshadows is top-notch. Buttery, velvety, smooth to apply and blend like a dream, however I was disappointed with the Pop pan in Uptown Girl. It wasn’t very pigmented and didn’t really apply very well. More glittery without a pigmented base but surprisingly, very little fallout. The rest of the shades within Uptown Girl and all in The Golden Goddess are absolutely beautifully pigmented on one swipe. They have a satin finish and doesn’t crease. Those with oily eyelids will love this for its longevity. It lasted throughout the working day then a night out. I forgot to mention, no primer too! No joke.

I love how these palettes don’t contain useless brushes and are surprisingly lightweight to carry around. Even though you’re paying £39 for a 4 shade palette, you’re paying for quality, not just the brand and the packaging. These palettes aren’t a MUST have in your makeup collection but it’s a good buy if you fancy treating yourself.

Uptown Girl doesn’t suit me personally so it’s just been sitting in my makeup drawers as it has a slight lavender, cool undertone. I always reach for The Golden Goddess out of the two. Vintage Vamp and The Dolce Vita are on my to-buy list as they are right up my street.

Have you tried any of Charlotte Tilbury’s Luxury Palettes?

That is a shame that some of the shades did not have good pigmentation considering CT is a luxury brand but it is good that is was pigmented for the most part x
