Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow in Light to Medium: £49.00

SCULPT & HIGHLIGHT

Natural, beautiful and sophisticated are probably the three words I would describe this.

Seamless is probably the best word to describe this sculpting bronzer. Beautifully pigmented, smooth to apply and easy to blend out. It’s a dream to work with. With a light hand, I can get that natural contour, then build it up till I’m satisfied. I could also go heavy-handed and straight for the more defined look. This would work well for the palest of skin tones, however, for the deeper skin tones, it’ll probably be too light. I couldn’t put my finger on the undertone for quite some time. It’s more of a neutral tone so you won’t have to worry about looking orange or ashy. You can also go for a sun-kissed look too. It does have a slight shimmer to it in the pan but it translates to a satin finish on the skin instead.

Everyone knows that I’m not into my highlighters but hot dayum, this is a good’un. This light, golden undertone compliments the bronzer very well and gives you a good soft, natural candlelit glow without being too shimmery, suiting all skin tones. It still captures the light beautifully, showing off that radiance and is great to use during the day time. If you prefer one of those popping, in your face ones, this isn’t the one for you. It’s another buildable product for a more intense look and can trust it to never be glittery.

Both pans are long-lasting on oily skin. It’s the perfect duo and is my number one for contouring. I was close to purchasing the Powder & Sculpt brush along with this but am glad I didn’t. My Illamasqua Blush Up brush was perfect for this. I do wish the highlighting pan was smaller so I’ll have more of the sculpt product. Or may sell them separately as I’m about to hit pan on the bronzer. On nights out, I love pairing this with the ABH contour palette, layering it on top of ABH.

I remember when this was first released, there was only one shade available but now they have a medium to dark shade! Don’t think I need to explain how gorgeous the packaging is. Just look at it! Rose gold, enough said. For £49.00, it is expensive but I’d happily repurchase it. The quality of this is worth the price tag. Charlotte, I love you.

Have you tried this palette?

I've wanted this for SO long but can't justify the price tag… That being said, I've not heard a single bad thing about it so maybe a splurge is in order…
