Chokers

BRINGING THE 90S BACK

Thinking about it, I’ve never had the classic retro tattoo choker. It felt suffocating and I was a tomboy back then yet spent a lot of time in Claire’s Accessories. And now, I still don’t have that classic but I am obsessed with them. I love how the ones out right now have an adjustable chain and doesn’t feel suffocating whatsoever. Lace, metal hardware, leather, suede, velvet, patterns, ruffles, thick, thin, just anything you can think of. There’s a variety and there’s definitely something for everyone.

These paired with off the shoulder tops or dresses are like a match made in heaven. This seems to be the combination I wear a lot and I’m never stopping. V neck styles, round neck, I’d say it suits all. Another combination I love is to layer it with another chocker and or a necklace. Some designs can look elegant, cute, or punk whilst others can look like bondage. Who cares. They’re fierce.

I’ve worn them a lot during my holiday and I did get a lot of attention. This trend hasn’t reached Hong Kong and Taiwan and I’m not sure if it will. I do have some left over suede from my shop and I’m definitely going to be playing around with it.
