WASH AWAY INSTANT COLOUR

With a stroke or 2, I am able to add temporary colour to my hair instantly. If you can see, the pink doesn’t really show up on my hair properly, but when it’s applied to my roots, the colour is wow. When blended, I could achieve an ombre look. Whereas with the blue, I could use it anywhere on my hair and the colour payoff is brilliant. You get the odd clump here and there, but it’s easy to rub it into the hair. The colour is buildable too. Ombre, dip dye, highlights or other random looks you have in mind, you can go crazy with it. It can be used on wet or dry hair, natural or dyed, dark or light hair.

Once set with hairspray, it will last the whole day, until you wash it off or when it rains, it will start to run. Just rinse with water, cold or warm and the colour will come off easily without leaving a stain on my dyed hair.

The texture is creamy and greasy and it did make my roots look greasy too, as it doesn’t dry down to a chalky consistency. When brushed through, it looked less greasy and the colour didn’t disappear. It helped to blend the colour better, but it was a bit difficult to brush through due to the texture.

Using it is self explanatory. It comes with plastic gloves and a cover to prevent any staining to the clothes and hands. Even if you do get it on your hands, just rinse with water. With this twist up pen, you get a good amount of product and it’s only £2.99. This is perfect for a themed night out, festivals, or even if you want to experiment with a new look. It only comes in two colours, blue and pink, but you can mix the two together to get a purple shade.

Have you used any hair chalks before?

My daughter and I have both played with hair chalks but they were a different brand. They're lots of fun and a great way to be adventurous, but do be careful with clothes and pillow cases!

I've always wanted to try hair chalks but I've been a bit wary as to how well they'd show up on my hair; might try some now! If/when you touch your hair, does it rub off really easily?

These look great and so affordable! I worry though that living in Scotland the colour will be constantly running ha! But it'll be beautiful whilst it lasts
