Kelly Brook Audition No.1 Eau de Parfum

Kelly Brook Audition No.1 Eau de Parfum review

Audition is Kelly Brook’s third perfume release. It was launched last year and described as “Intoxicating with a hint of ripe freshness and a shock of green that’s like a big bunch of freshly cut flowers covered in morning dew. With a middle strength that brings joy and light, combined with voluptuousness and that hint of animal passion.” Sounds lovely doesn’t it?

Upon the first spray, I can smell patchouli straight away and it does remind me of freshly cut flowers but with a hint of herb. I’m not too fond of this but once it fades, it leaves a beautiful soft, sweet, floral and fruity concoction. The amber, vanilla, benzoin and musk helps warm the scent. The top notes consists of watery apple, dewy fruits, melon and bergamot whilst the heart notes consists of wisteria, iris, heliotrope and patchouli. It’s such a feminine scent, leaving you feeling womanly and classy. I would say it’s suitable for the younger audience too.

The scent is light however I do find the lasting power average. It is suitable for the summer and daytime use is you’re not wanting an in your face scent. The vintage packaging is inspired by the Art Deco of the 50s with a rosy tint and rose gold detailing. Great Gatsby comes to mind! It goes well placed on top of my Muji acrylic drawers. I would recommend this if you love warm scents.

What’s your favourite scent at the moment?

I've seen this on a few blogs now, I'll have to go check it out. I love the bottle so much. I love mens aftershave more or really fruity perfumes. I often just wear Victoria Secrets.

Ooh this sounds quite nice, I love fruity, floral scents, also the packaging is so nice. I am currently loving Zara Fruity perfume, it smells so similar to Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb but without the crazy price tag.

Ive never been big into fragrances. My nose is too sensitive and strong scents tend to give me a headache. πŸ™ I can (and only) wear body sprays – and even some of them are too strong. However I do always admire the look of the beautiful perfume bottles and packaging!

It's my first time hearing Kelly Brook, but anything with patchouli appeals to me! Thanks for sharing this review πŸ™‚

I'm allergic to perfumes and colognes, even the skin and haircare products I use are all unscented. I want Audition's pretty bottle though haha!

  13. 13th August 2015 / 8:47 pm

Ooh I will have to smell this as I do like scents with a musk base xxx

Hard to judge perfume by reading. But when I saw patchouli, I am reminded of potpourri. Yikes! Haha!

I like the smell of aroma oils like lavender or lemongrass instead of the usual floral fragrance~

Do you know that 70% of a perfume's development cost goes towards the packaging? From getting the design out to the moulding – that's a crucial part, not just the scent…

My favourite scent at the moment is Dolce its floral and very feminine too. I like Kelly Brook's perfume falcon, its very sturdy and elegant on its own. I have not try any of Kelly Brook's fragrance before.

I also have a perfume that has a floral scent from body shop and yes it's really good for summer really refreshing

I'm pretty sure this will be a huge hit for fans of Kelly Brook! I have to be honest and have not tried many celebrity perfumes and I stick to a handful of favorite brands. Not too adventurous with perfumes.

The combination of the scents in this perfume is actually very interesting, I love bergamot and musk together so this must smell great with all those other ingredients. My current favorite is Elie Saab Le Parfum
