I still had money left on my two gift cards, one I won in a competition and the other for my birthday, and so I thought, why not spend it as I was visiting a friend and there was a MAC store. Of course, I did have a list prepared but unfortunately I couldn’t get all of them. I wasn’t surprised that the lipliner in Soar and the lipsticks in Brave and Twig were sold out. I will get my hands on them! Totally wish department stores accepted the gift cards, life would be so much easier!
I’m really excited about my first customised MAC quad palette. I felt like a kid in a candy shop. In the end, I had chosen Era, Wedge, Espresso and Embark for an everyday, neutral, smokey eye, which I would also be carrying with me on my travels. I don’t fancy carrying any of my Naked palettes with me so gave this a go. I will be slowly building up a collection and filling those larger customisable palettes.
MAC powder blush in Prism seems to be a good choice for a nude (described as muted pinkish brown) blush. I just hope it’ll look good on my skin as it is a neutral shade. The 219 brush is finally mine so I will be creating more eye looks with this. I can already see this as being one of my favourite brushes.
OK, the last item may not be a MAC product, it’s a bonus. I was debating whether to repurchase my beloved MAC Prep and Prime Transparent Finishing powder as I am close to running out but decided to try something new. Hopefully I won’t regret purchasing the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder as it was a tad more expensive.
