New Year's Blogging Resolutions 2015

30 December 2014

BLOG IMPROVEMENTS

Hope everyone had a fattening Christmas with the loved ones! It's that's time of year again where the year ends and the new year begins, bringing us the unknown. And of course, there are New Years resolutions made every year and probably have failed within the first days (definitely the diet and spending one). For the past few days whilst in bed, I've been thinking about blog related ones. Ways to improve in general. These are what I had come up with so far:
- Start jotting down ideas into a notebook rather than my phone.
- If I receive a beauty PR sample, start testing it immediately and write notes to be used in the upcoming blog post review. If it's a skin care product, I must break the paranoia barrier.
- Blog at least 3 times a week. I have been lazy for the past few months, I must admit. Need to start getting into a routine to fit everything in.
- Comment on blogs a lot more and repay the comment favour to those who leaves a meaningful comment on mine. Silent reader no more!
- Reply to emails quicker.
- Start attending more blogger events. Most had seemed to clash with my schedule this year though.
- Share more of my life e.g. travels, anything fun and exciting.
These are definitely doable right?

Happy New Year everyone!

What are your blogging resolutions?

  10. These goals are exactly what I would like to do too. Point 2 is probably the one I can relate to most, I usually try and write notes all in one go after using and testing a product. I think more guides/step-by-step content around how I used the product and when would be a good call.

Great blog. Stop by mine sometime :) Topstyleadvice.co.uk

  12. It sure does help to write notes on paper instead of saving them on the phone or tablet. I recently bought a notebook from Muji because I promised myself that I'll be writing more, writing a lot this year. It helps keep focus and it keeps things more organized.

You have good blogging resolutions for 2015 and I'm sure you'll be able to keep 'em. I wish I could write 3x a week, but I'll most likely work on it.

    Happy New Year, Nicol. 🎉

  17. It's nice to target 3 post a week. That's also the average number of post I do in a week as it gives me time to write them and promote them. Good luck on your blogging resolutions.

  19. I hope 2015 helps you achieve all that you want to. I'll need to adopt your blogger goals as a sketch-line for mine. Have to admit with the exception of putting down a resolution to blog a lot more than the sporadic amount i've been mustering lately, the rest of my 2015 goals centered around a skinnier frame and a fatter wallet LOL.

  26. Happy New Year Nicole! Those are achievable goals for 2015 and to be honest with you, when I saw your list, I kinda want to do the same thing except 3 posts a week is too much for me. LOL

  28. Very nice list for all bloggers! I like writing notes on paper but it is sometimes hard because I write about films and plays which both happen in darkened theaters. And yes to commenting more!

  33. Mine is definitely to try blog more - as you said- 3 times a week minimum. It's hard to have enough time to produce quality content next to a full time job but I'll come up with some new strategy to do it! Good luck to keep your resolutions! :)
