IN AID OF CHILDREN’S HEART SURGERY FUND
Last week, an email had dropped into my inbox inviting me to the House of Fashion by House of Fraser event. The event was last Friday (7th) in a bar called Baracoa Luxe Bar in Leeds. Luckily I was fortunate to attend as the time was right and it wasn’t far from where I work. Literally 15 minutes walk. I headed straight to Wagamama after work to meet up with fellow bloggers for dinner then met up with other bloggers at Revolutions before heading to Baracoa.
The House of Fashion event hosted an evening of fashion and beauty where the proceeds were donated to the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund. The event showcased the spring summer collections of House of Fraser, Lush Apparel, Lisa Jayne Dann and AKA. Many fabulous pieces had caught my eye. The models were stunning and fierce! There was also a raffle and auction, where prizes included a unique, limited, jewelled Jagemeister bottle, photography tutorial, signed Leeds football shirts, Rituals gift set etc.
I couldn’t capture every single piece as I was still experimenting with camera settings at the beginning, the models did walk fast and the lighting wasn’t ideal. I hate using flash but it had to be used in this case. Here are a few of my favourite pieces from the catwalk.
There was also a Bobbi Brown demonstration which I thought she did a good job if it was slightly hard to see. I can’t exactly remember what she was creating but I think she used the latest collection, Uber Pink, in her demonstration. I should have jotted it all down. Bad Nicol.
From here on, the temperature was rising and it was hot, very hot! I’m not going to post the raunchy photo ending as I like to keep my blog PG13. Let’s just say, female models are in sexy underwear, topless male models and were very friendly and steamy towards one another. From this description, it doesn’t sound too bad but believe me, it’s different when you see it in real life. I’ve never seen so many bare (not fully bare) bottoms in one room. This surprise ending had left the girls swooning over the male models and crushing on the females.
Unfortunately I didn’t stay for the after party as I had wanted my bed after a long day and night. It was a fun event! Never knew there was a lot of Leeds, well Yorkshire bloggers. Let me know if you’re from around the area! It was lovely to meet new faces as well as Jennifer who had invited me to the event. Thank you Jennifer.
Are there any pieces that have caught your eye here?
