Dr. Lipp Original Nipple Balm for Lips: £11.50*

CANNY NAME NO?

I was baffled and confused with the name of this product at first then had read up more about it. This product was originally developed and used as a nipple balm for breastfeeding women containing 100% ultra pure medical grade Lanolin, however, it has multiple uses rather than on the nip and lips. It can be used for beauty such as adhering glitter to the eyes, mixer for pigments, cheek shine, eyebrow shaper etc. On the skin care side, it can soothe dry skin patches, prevent dry cuticles, nourish eyelashes etc. The most intriguing points I have read about this are reducing fine lines and nourishing split ends. You say what?! Can read more uses here.

I’ve only tested this on the lips but may try the split ends claim. It was tough trying to squeeze the product out, immediately knowing it has a thick consistency. I had to exert more pressure than I wanted. My skin warmed up the product enough for it to be spread onto the lips despite it dragging the area. I can’t imagine using it around the eye area. It left a glossy finish but was sticky and came to instantly dislike it. It did moisturise but not to what I had hoped for. It took a few days for me to see a result which wasn’t impressive.

The staying power was longer than any other balms I have tried though. Even though it states that it is odourless, there is a medical scent lingering which isn’t to my taste. I wanted to love this after the hype but unfortunately I couldn’t. Will try the other uses though.

Have you tried this product before?

Thanks for the review. I have not heard of this product or brand. I guess I have to pass on this one for what I really like is a balm with strong moisturizing effect since my lips tend to dry fast.
