Blackhead Killer Peel Off Mask

11 September 2013

PEELING BLACKHEADS & ACNE

This would be the second peel off mask I'm testing and even before using this, I was scared as to how much it'll hurt when peeling this off. In each pack, there are 5 sachets. This product claims to:
- Suck pimples, blackheads, oil and bacteria deep from the root.
- Lift away red and irritated skin.
- Removed dead skin cells.
- Prevent future breakouts.

The texture is thick and gloopy and the amount you get in each sachet is enough for a full face mask. It's sticky but it'll adhere to the skin easily. On the sachet, it says leave it on for 10 minutes but it wasn't dry enough to peel. I left it on until it was fully dried which was around 30 - 45 minutes. Peeling hurt like a dang as I have a low pain tolerance. It was ok in the centre of my face but then it hurt around the edges where the fine hairs were. Do not apply this on the eyebrows otherwise you'll probably pull some out.

Results wise, it didn't clean out my pores on my nose fully which was my main concern. Some were cleaned whilst others where budged in there still. On the mask, I can mainly see the fine hairs and dead skin. Has the few odd dirt here and there. I haven't seen any results regards to removing and reducing spots as it claims but it did remove dead skin, leaving my skin soft after applying my moisturiser which was absorbed fast. Rather than lifting away redness, it left my cheeks red lasting around half an hour to calm down. I have tried this in the afternoon today and a whitehead is formed on my nose now that it's night time.

The only feature I like about this is the removal of dead skin cells. A painful exfoliation though. I find this an average product and it's expensive for what it's actually worth. I wouldn't recommend this for people who have a low pain tolerance and have sensitive skin.

Would you try anything like this?

  6. OUCH! Redness is not good :( I'd stick to regular exfoliation if all it does is remove dead skin cells.

    A good, honest review! :)

  7. This sounds painful! I love peel-off masks but I've only used the Montagne Jeunesse ones and they're really easy to peel off. Definitely won't be buying this one haha.

  8. Expensive mask and the black mask isn't very appealing! but worth it if it works well.

  9. Eeeeeek sounds painful! When I use standard pore strips I find it's mostly fine hairs that have come off.
