Bourjois 1 Seconde Gel Nail Enamel

COLOUR IN ONE COAT
I actually have no idea what gel nails, nail polishes are like so I have no idea as to what the gel consistency is like. I purchased these after seeing all the hype but mainly because of the colours. Since it was 3 for 2 in Superdrugs (and still is! Boots too!), I purchased Meli Melon, Blue No Blues and Turquoise Block. I wanted more shades especially Green Fizz but unfortunately they didn't have it in stock. Great summer shades even though it's nearly ending. Hopefully they'll release some autumn shades but I'd still wear these colours regardless of the season. Can brighten up an all black outfit.
This nail polish is basically what you see in the bottle is what you get. The consistency is thick but not gloopy The colour pay off is amazing, around 95% opaque. You can just leave it like that when you're in a rush. The swatch above is form one coat but I did find that Meli Melon and Blue No Blues came out streaky as compared to Turquoise Block so I would say a second coat is needed for these two shades. The square like brush can be tricky at first but afterwards, it's easy to use and it has helped me reduce in painting around my nails. It fans out and you can control the pressure you apply on it.
I wouldn't say that it's 1 second per nail. I need two swipes on some nails rather than one but it is faster than my other polishes. The drying time is impressive. States 50 second drying time. Yes I do agree to that but it isn't fully dried to the point it's set. Takes a few minutes to fully set then I can go on with my everyday life. Sets to a smooth, silicone feel texture with a nice gloss. Lasted a good 3 days before there was a slight chip. Worth the money especially when there's currently a 3 for 2 deal on in Superdrug in Boots. GO GO GO! I'll need to stock up on more shades asap. Highly recommend the line if you're looking for the perfect summer shade.
Have you tried these nail polishes before?
