Topshop Lip Stick in Powder Room

Topshop Lip Stick in Powder Room: £7.00

This is my first Topshop makeup and am quite excited to try it out. The packaging intrigued me as it was cute and simple! First thought was that it’ll get dirty in my makeup bag but ah wells! The swatch looks show a warm bright pink. Looks a bit like a warm Barbie pink. It was creamy when I had swatched it on my hand. It was creamy when applied onto my lips but the application was chalky. That’s what you get with matte lip products I guess unless your lips are really moisturised. Even with lip balm underneath, it did emphasise some dry bits and settle in the natural lines on my lips. This shouldn’t be applied too much. It won’t look good.

If you have a warm complexion, it’ll suit you. However this didn’t suit me as this shade didn’t particularly tickle my fancy and wasn’t use to it. It looked a little bit peachy on me. I actually don’t really like this, the formula and colour disappointed me. For £7, it’s the same price as drugstores and the price isn’t bad to be honest. I do want to try other lipstick shades in crayon form. If you are prone to dry lips, stay away from this. There are also lipsticks in normal form that I want to try out.

I've got a topshop lip stick pencil in coy. The fact its a bit chalky means I dont wear it as much. But your post has reminded me about it and I think I'll make it my 'Go To' lip for the rest of this week!

Topshop products have got nice colours, but they don't really last very long on the skin for me :/
